My fellow atheists. Why when a question does not apply to you...?

do you choose to chastise the asker? In a previous question someone was asking for prayer for a sick relative. You really have no reason to answer this question nor (in my opinion) should you be telling someone who is just looking for a little comfort, whether we agree with their methods or not, that prayers won't work or that it's a waste of time. It's really none of your business. I personally don't agree with religion, but there are times when things should just be left alone instead of being a d-bag. Show a little respect for a fellow human in a time of need.
