These are the only two styles offered in my area. Both dojos have a reputation for having good instructors. I'm impressed with the overall toughness of Kyokushin...it seems it would be a practical self defense art, and the training is very rigorous...as much so or even more than boxing. All I know about Kokondo is that it has roots in Kyokushin, but is it very practical for self defense?

Veins in Legs help please?

Hi Everyone. I am 16 years old, quite skinny, and pale. Anyways, all of a sudden, out of the blue, I noticed that the veins in my legs were very blue, and very noticeable. They read like a road map! They aren't varicose veins though. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them? What can I do about an abusive child with psychological issues?

My 14 year old daughter is abusive towards me. I know this is really not what people normally hear. There is so much information about what to do when a child is abused, but I'm in a situation where I feel completely stuck. She attacks me physically, verbally, and mentally almost daily. She does this to my boyfriend and her two younger sisters as well but not quite as often. We've called the police somewhere between 50-100 times within the last 2 years, she's been arrested once but that went nowhere. She's been baker-acted around 30 times, she's in a partial admittance at a hospital (where she is there during the day and at home at night) and it's a bunch of red tape and crap to get her into any kind of residential treatment. I've had DCF out here a good 100-200 times and always the fingers are pointed on me. Not only is nobody really doing anything, but they keep pointing fingers at me. It MUST be my fault because children don't abuse their parents. If I ask them to take her they say if they do they'll charge me with neglect and take the other two as well. I feel there is NOTHING I can do and I am forced to just take it. She hits me, pins me down, calls me names, tells me I'm stupid, worthless, and bad and I can't do anything to stop it. Can anyone help me? She has has VARIOUS counselors, she is in partial care at an institution.. which is more serious counseling.. we're in Florida.. she isn't having or doing drugs or hanging out with bad crowds.. and she does have discipline and structure but that's part of the problem because she doesn't want it.. she has been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and bipolar and with traits of antisocial disorder - but she is too young for an actual antisocial diagnosis - she has had a violent streak since she was a toddler but since around hitting puberty it has gotten completely out of control.. the cops say because she has mental problems they can't arrest her because a judge will throw it out.. and the mental health industry says medicine won't work it's behavioral and in a behavioral institute she manipulates the counselors to her wills.. she is pretty strongly medicated but it doesn't really help and they wont adjust it.. they say it won't help because it's behavioral.. she's had several different counselors and psychiatrist.. and nothing..

Hi I have a long questions.... You see 2 years ago I was pulled over and got a ticket. I thought I paid the ticket and all obviously I was wrong. This happened in Canton Ohio (Stark County) when I was in college, anyways sense the ticket is not paid there is a bench warrant out for me. I will get this taken care of in about 2 months when I have the fund to pay it... Moving on though I am about to apply for my CCW in franklin County, they are asking me for ever area I lived in.. I never lived in Stark County however I did live in Summit County which is next to it... But most of my life I have lived in franklin County.. When they run my background check will they find this bench warrant? I don't think this warrant is entered into the computers though, because I have purchase firearms and they ran a background check, I have had background checks ran for school, and had to go to court about a year ago and no one has seen it, so will the franklin sheriff when running my background for CCW

Lumps in a 16 year old boy?

Im a 16 year old male. I have these two very small, easily movable lumps in my neck on either side of my throat. I also have a small, again, easily movable lump underneath my left clavicle. I've had gynecomastia for almost 4 years now, and i have many lipomas in my arms and chest, but they are attached to eachother sort of. The reason I'm not sure if the lumps in my neck and underneath my clavicle are lipomas is that they aren't surrounded by other lipomas like the ones in my chest and arms, they're all alone, but they still feel relatively the same. Like I said, they definitely aren't large, all of them peas sized, but I'm not sure how large a cancerous tumor or enlarged lymph node would usually be. My personal opinion is the referees did not review enough plays in the game. They were way too hard on Arizona and Pittsburgh did not deserve the win. I have 2 Alsatians who are the love of my life. Lucy is fantastic, loyal and very obedient. Ben however (1 year old) is also fantastic and loyal, but lacking in the obedience stakes. To anyone with KNOWLEDGE of the shoulder joint...?

I had surgery a little over a year ago and still have pain. I have full motion BUT Have less than 70% full use. That is there are things I cannot do for an extended period of time. I was told I would have full use but it didn't turn out that way. It took 1 year before becoming basically pain free (NOT) as they said. You need to give it at least 1 year, my cousin had the same surgery as you and he lost 75% overhead use after healing.

My brother decided to push me, so I push him back and he threw several clusters of fists at me. My mom was stupid enough to shield him which she gotten hit several times by him. I grabbed her and tossed her out of the way and took blows for her. while getting blows from her too. I yelled at him saying he hit her. Nope according to my mom, I hit her and I deserved being hit by him. She would defend my little brother who is 115 to 120 pounds heavier than I am (he's 280lbs), taller by a few inches (he's 6'1). I'm there crying out of frustration and she yelled at me. I yelled back and slapped a chair out of the way and cried. She mocked me and made fun of me. She threatened to punch me and was about to until I caught her fist and said "Hit me mom!" and bashed her fist against my head til my forehead had welts. She decided to throw a show and pretended to suffocate. At first I was terrified, trying to get her to breath. But it was an act cuz she tried to call my dad but he never answered. I told her I hated her and I'm moving out. I called my father who appears to be the only one who ever listens to me and told him I'm moving out, and if my little brother decided to act up, I'll defend myself with a blunt object. He told me he was sorry for me and good luck. My mom calls him and starts to lie. The funny thing is, I'm sore all across my torn shoulder (torn rotator cuff) from where I received blows from my brother and mom, my forehead is swollen from me making my mom hit me harder, and she's there making it out that I'm psycho and she's planning on calling the police and showing them her bruises that she received from my brother and blame it on me. Funny thing is, my fists are fine, it's theirs that are sore for punching me and what not and my brother even leaves her a voice message saying his hand might be broken.. Take pictures of your lawn and your home and your garage. Send them to the ociation with a letter asking them to specifically tell you what areas of your property are in violation and to cite the bylaw(s) that supports each alleged violation. Be polite. If you get angry, they will never forget. Do everything in writing, and tell them in the letter to respond to you in writing. I asked lots of questions over the past few weeks on panic attacks and anxiety in pregnancy. My husband told me to come off this site as I was listening to people who are not doctors/councillors and was gettin brainwashed so I did this. However, I am so desperate now for help. I went to a cognitive behaviour therapist today and he told me that I had an anxiety disorder prob for a long time but it got worse in pregnancy. I am extremely depressed and panicked now coz I thought these panic attacks were just coz of pregnanncy and would go away after. Now i feel like i will have them forever. I can't eat properly during the day or sleep at all night I have now refused to go to sleep to protect mydel from waking up in a panic. I never wanted to be pregnant and feel like such an ungratful cow coz loads of people want kids. I see no way out coz my daytime is spent thinking about the horrible night - dark, pacing floor, worried, no sleep and the night is spent worrying that this is my life forever. I love my husband to bits but he can't help me anymore and feels crap I tried lying on bed earlier reading a book and had to get up quick due to panic. I absolutely refuse to take meds coz will not hurt baby anymore and I do not want to be brainwashed in to thinking all is great while on meds and then become immune to them and need stronger dose and be "numb" with no feeling. I am waiting for councillor to ring me back later for a chat but am v upset

i don't feel this street fighter is an improvement over part 3 at all. this game feels more like street fighter 2.5 .the developers said that they were toning it down so it's not just for the fight fans so it could be more accessible to the common player. plus every time a player takes a punch they look borderline retarded. that's just my opinion. at least the home version will have anime sequences that will fill in the story a bit because i'm dieing to know where bison and company where during part 3.

Maytag Atlantis MAV6200AWW Washer Problem?

My Maytag Atlantis has a strange problem I can’t figure out. When I start the washer it runs fine until it gets to the rinse cycle. Once in the rinse cycle is just fills and drains the water at the same time. It will continue to do this until I stop it. It does the every time. I have replaced the timer and water level selector and hose. Sometimes it also does this when I first start the washer. I will start the washer, the tub will fill with water and then drain it. Sometimes it won’t even fill because it drains the water as it enters the tub. Any ideas?? Thanks.

These are adult dogs, and really don't need to be fed 5 times a day. And if you keep feeding them like that they will balloon up as get fat in no time. They are toy dogs and according to standard are of correct weight. Cut out the noon and 2 pm and 8 pm feedings and add a bit of cottage cheese a couple of days a week to dinner. Not needed every day.

I saw a clip of a cow getting decapitated with a very sharp blade. It was very fast and the cow's body fell over and kicked for a good 20 seconds. I saw a pig get it's head cut off with a chainsaw, it's body went into running mode for 30 seconds. I've seen videos of humans getting decapitated and their body doesn't move. Why is this?

95 Silverado 5.7 TBI bogs down at WOT won't rev past 3500RPM?

95 Silverado 4wd ext cab 5.7 TBI . Runs and drives great if you drive normally but if you punch it, it bogs and stumbles until you back off the throttle a bit then it quickly straightens out again. i put in new distributor, cap, rotor, plugs and wires about 10,000 miles ago. It was misfiring and that cured the missing. I set the timing to factory spec on the underhood label at that time. It now has 157K and uses very little oil, no smoke or anything. No service engine soon light either. Could it be a TPS issue. How about fuel pressure or a clogged cat? I don't think so but am wondering if anyone out there knows some common problems with these TBI motors that sound related to my symptoms. If you floor it though it will kick down and labor in ping gear and not rev past 3500 and seems to lack power. But when i back off a bit it will straighten out and pick up. You just can't get over 75% throttle. Idles fine too. I drove it from Tulsa to Minnesota just fine as well, any Ideas?

I have had the flu (I hope it's just the flu) for the past four days now. After the first day, which I thought was just a head cold, I did not feel any better so I purchased the DayQuil/NyQuil liquidgel pills. In my weakened, flu-like state attempting to open these tiny little two pill packages was like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole! It just wasn't going to happen! So I batted my droopy eyelashes at my husband, who is also suffering the same symptoms, and asked if he could attempt the impossible. After about 30 seconds of pulling and peeling and ... what is this plastic made out of!... I finally pulled my kitchen scissors out of their wooden hiding place on the cutlery holder and hacked that little plastic package to bits! Alas, NyQuil! Something like that is to be expected post op. Sounds like you are doing everything you were taught to do properly. A low grade temp is inevitable post op. But if it gets higher than 38 C you probably have an infection that needs attention. There is almost always a discharge of clear straw colored fluid. It's called serous drainage. If it's pink, its tinged with blood and it's called serosanguinous drainage. It will smell, especially when it is on your foot. If the drainage is cloudy, (not see thru) then you may have an infection. Not uncommon in feet wounds. If you are worried, which you may have good reason to be, call your doctor at the earliest opportunity and someone there will be able to help you, and maybe even schedule a quick visit. If a trip to the emergency room is necessary, and if your doc is affiliated with that hospital, someone from the practice may be able to see you if they are on call. Surgeons never sleep. Someone will be on duty at any rate.

What does it mean when you find a dead bird under your bed?

i live in Michigan and it is the middle of February, needless to say i haven't seen a bird since october, but when i went into my room, which is in the basement and doesn't have any windows, i found a dead bird under my bed. it had died very recently judging by the softness of the body, and there was no smell. There were no signs that it had been killed, there were no cuts, nor did any feathers seem to be missing, but the birds didn't have any eyes. I have never been one to worry about omens or what not, but this really struck a chord, i mean to get into my room it would have had to come in on the ground floor and then would have to find its way downstairs to find its way under my bed so that it could die, seems unlikely, even less so because birds sparrows aren't in Michigan in February. If anybody has any ideas they would be much appreciated.

Big mistake. You should have got an adapter harness. Anyway, it looks like you have the right diagram. You need to check that you're actually getting power to the unit. If the car has an external amp, that's probably where the problem is. You may need an amp eliminator or adapter harness for that. The remote wire is to turn on an amp or something like that. It can not be used to power anything.

I was making a right turn on a red light, the light turned green I did see the pedestrian crossing. He crossed halfway before I turned to the right most lane now he didn't finish crossing the crosswalk however it was a really long one ... after I turned right he didn't even turn around . A police followed me first off it took me a while to pull over because this was my first time getting pulled over by a cop. The police was really mad and said I almost hit the guy. I totally saw him. I.... had a dream... anybody have any idea if it means something?

Ok... so i had this one dream where i was at the local middle school and there was a whole bunch of people sitting around round tables that were all tered about in the gymnasium. i knew everybody around my table but one person... he was a geeky person who was from england... he was talking about his experiments with large bugs and stuff... than suddenly two of the security guards were killed somehow and there was an announcement over the intercom that two guards were killed by some rich english hacker or something, than i saw giant spiders and ants (LIKE THE SIZE OF SMALL CARS) running in the hallway outside the door and into the cafeteria (where there were a whole bunch of elementary kids) and than a whole bunch of screaming... none of the people in charge were doing anything even though the screams were yelling for help... the screams eventually died out and stopped... than the giant bugs started trying to get into the gymnasium where i was at...and the people in charge were still doing nothing... and than my alarm went off... :( and that was it

I had a terrible dream about a girl in my cl. We are in 8th grade.. she is named Kayla and a very sweet girl.. we aren't entirely friends (yet) but we are acquainted. She is very nice to me, greets me warmly every day, asks how I'm doing, and smiles at me like she really wants to be my friend. As the shy person I am, its difficult to get into a friendship with her, though I'd really like to.. now this is what bothered me. I had this dream that everyone was coming in from break and someone screamed that she got struck by lightning. I was very shocked and the rest went by in a blur, authorities searched the area, paramedics arrived- she was announced dead, but i wouldn't believe it. so i asked a clmate who might know a few days later, "Is Kayla really dead?" their reply: yes. In dream, for some reason, i was determined she was not dead and expected her back the next day. I wanted to hug her and tell her how much I cared about her.. when I finally accepted she truly was dead I cried and cried in the dream and moped around, missing her..
