Hi fellow seniors, in your youth did you have to earn your pocket money?

I don't remember getting paid for doing chores,but I do remember wanting to get out there and earn my own money to spend on things my family couldn't afford. It also made me feel good to put money into the pot at home to help out. I thought that was the way things should be done. I'm sorry to say we used to pay our children for things like taking out the trash or brushing down the pool. They didn't turn out bad however,so I guess it wasn't all bad.
